Film Friday is back again, with the Coen’s 8th film. The movie is basically a loose retelling of Homer’s “The Odyssey” in 1930s Souther U.S. and is another entertaining flick, not very dark except for a few select parts. John Goodman makes a fantastic appearance as a one-eyed bible salesman. And I have to admit, I enjoyed the song “I Am a Man of Constant Sorrow” by the Soggy Bottom Boys (though not actually sung by the actors of course). If anyone was wondering, next week’s film is The Man Who Wasn’t There, starring Billy Bob Thornton.
